法国大奖赛FP3:博塔斯雨中占据首位
瓦尔特利·博塔斯在受到雨水侵袭的法国大奖赛第三节自由练习里占据圈速榜第一。

根据此前的天气预报,周六下午有降雨概率,而周六上午的新气象信息显示几率上升到40%。因此,当维修区绿灯亮起时,所有车队都赶紧派赛车出场。
但是10分钟不到,还没有多跑几圈,车手就纷纷报告赛道上已经下雨,并且返回维修区。很快,倾盆大雨就从天而降,而且没有任何改善的迹象。由于FIA没有要求倍耐力准备额外的雨地轮胎,因此所有车队为可能在排位赛中遭遇的暴雨,节省轮胎。
直到最后10分钟,费尔南多·阿隆索带头使用雨地轮胎驶上赛道, 检视湿地上的赛道情况。
在有限的计时圈里,博塔斯以1分33.666秒领先雷诺车手卡洛斯·塞恩斯一秒以上占据头名。连续四场比赛进入Q2的查尔斯·莱克勒克位列第三。
红牛二队车手布兰登·哈特利确定在本周末剩余阶段里使用全新的动力单元。第二节练习结束时刻,车队通知新西兰人在赛道上停车,因为发现了引擎存在问题。此后,本田确认为他启用整套全新的动力单元。由于哈特利已经用到了全部三个配额,他讲总计被罚掉35个发车位。
